Perhaps no company has benefited more from the surge of interest in artificial intelligence than Nvidia, maker of graphics processing units used to train and run AI models. Nvidia's success has attracted a growing roster of rivals, including many startups developing custom chips or the software to run those chips. The Information has compiled a list of 18 startups working on AI chips. Together, they have raised more than $4 billion from investors and are valued at a collective $18 billion.
